總決賽第二場，詹姆斯（LeBron James）貢獻兩次絕佳的火鍋，包括對斯普利特（Tiago Splitter）的死亡封蓋，賽後《NBAoffseason》更是調侃：「斯普利特被詹姆斯裝進了棺材」，還發佈了一張棺材的圖片（見圖／摘自網路）。

第四節還剩8分20秒，斯普利特接球後帶球轉身，毫不猶豫地衝向禁區，並且高高躍起準備單手「戰斧式」的劈扣，熟料在籃下的詹姆斯跳起來正手封掉斯普利特手上的球，結果這個看起來十拿九穩的球，讓斯普利特成為悲劇人物。

這記集力量、速度與柔軟性於一體的封阻，被很多專家和球迷津津樂道，進而被戲稱「斯普利特被詹姆斯裝進了棺材！」

賽後斯普利特仍然不能忘懷，「很不幸，我想我至少應該會上今天的新聞了。詹姆斯打的很不錯，他是一位偉大的球員。」

「我們其實都預計到那個場景，我自己非常清楚詹姆斯能夠蓋下來，」熱火後衛查莫斯（Mario Chalmers）賽後也談到詹姆斯的死亡封蓋，「這就是他為什麼能夠進入聯盟最佳防守陣容的原因，毫無疑問，詹姆斯是目前聯盟最好的球員，他不會去等待，也不會害怕什麼。」
