〔自由時報記者梁偉銘／綜合報導〕溫布頓7度奪冠的瑞士天王費德爾，男單首戰挾快制高，只花69分鐘，即以6：3、6：2、6：0直落3「速斬」身高198公分的羅馬尼亞長人哈內斯庫，8月滿32歲的費爸強勢挺進次輪，也朝草地大滿貫衛冕邁出第一步。

站上球速偏快的草地球場，第3種子費天王流暢打法如虎添翼，強轟7記愛司、沒有雙發失誤，不但從哈內斯庫拍下逼出8個破發點，更順勢搶下其中6個，尤其第3盤他只花18分鐘就把高大對手「剃光頭」，壓倒性優勢展露無遺，賽後這位17座大滿貫金主說：「很高興有好的開始，證明我把狀況調整上來。」費德爾次輪將迎戰烏克蘭史塔克霍夫斯基。

艾拉妮爆冷 首輪出局

義大利第5種子艾拉妮大爆冷門，女單初登場就以3：6、2：6慘敗給波多黎各19歲新秀普吉，這也是艾拉妮繼年初澳網一戰出局後，再度大滿貫舞台遭逢重挫。

白俄羅斯第2種子阿莎蓮卡雖然次盤滑倒拉傷膝蓋內側韌帶，治療後忍痛以6：1、6：2收拾葡萄牙對手柯勒。
